Echoes of Silence (EOS)

Echoes of Silence CD ROM was a complimentary CD given to any individual, researcher, professor who wished to learn about the Killed-in-Action Nisei soldier of World War II. EOS contained 847 profiles of the Nisei soldier and their Caucasian officers who paid the ultimate price.

In 2007, Americans of Japanese Ancestry World War II Memorial Alliance partnered with Japanese American Living Legacy to ensure the perpetuation of this valuable project. Volunteers comprised the EOS team under the leadership of the late Junwo "Jim" Yamashita, I Company 442nd Regimental Combat Team; Roger Eaton had been especially instrumental in tracking the obituaries of the World War II Nikkei soldiers.

Unfortunately, JA Living Legacy does not have copies of the the Echoes of Silence CD available for distribution at this time. If you are interested in this information, please contact our CEO, Susan Uyemura at suyemura@jalivinglegacy.org.
